Thirsty Pixel Launches PILS (Professional Indirect Lending System).

(Murray, Utah, July 20, 2007) -– Thirsty Pixel recently completed development and launched the Professional Indirect Lending System (PILS) product that automates unsecured lending for elective and life-altering procedures such as weight-loss surgery, cosmetic surgeries, dental and orthodontic work.

Providing financial lending for non-traditional expenses to the millions of baby boomers reaching retirement is an exciting new way to serve this and other generations, states “Getting Personal: Lifestyle Lending as a Path to Building Member Relationships,” a CUNA Lending Council white paper. The white paper reported "“As a new concept, lifestyle lending is a wide-open opportunity that credit unions can tailor to their members’ needs and adapt to fit their member service and lending philosophies.”

In a statement by ILT President Will McGregor, he said PILS is designed to support the growing demand for credit to finance elective surgery or other medical procedures not covered by health or other insurance, known as the nascent “lifestyle lending”. ILT has secured a reputation for its Web-based system for managing indirect auto lending (DILLS), and PILS is expanding the business to innovative new markets. Option 1 Credit Union headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan is the first credit union to implement PILS technology, which is linked to health care providers throughout the credit union’s Michigan market and gradually phased-in to branches throughout the country.

PILS is also being actively marketed to other lenders throughout the United States and is anticipated to be available in most major markets soon. Credit Unions using indirect lending models, such as PILS, with formal business partners to extend financing to eligible clients.
